Summary:
The Shave Ice Shop Supervisor will through effective and consistent management of store operations and guest services, oversee and assist Shavistas/associates (Baristas for shave ice) in the performance of their job duties such as customer service:
order processing, payment processing, responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues or complaints, and standards of shaving and pouring to company standards.
Schedule can be somewhat flexible, but you must be available to work weekends, holidays as needed.
Supervisory Duties/
Responsibilities:
Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
Maintains store staff job and performance standards by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Schedules and monitors associates' work hours and breaks, re-directing staff to always keep them productive.
Ensure safety issues, hygiene standards, protocols and procedures, and training standards are followed every time Maintains adequate staff levels, interviews candidates makes recommendations on hires, and oversees training Maintain the highest standards of quality, customer service, sanitation, cleanliness, and food/product safety Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization Frequently performs any and all duties of the Shavistas as business needs dictate Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent management and supervisory skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Previous management experience in a customer service environment, as well as strong problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills are highly preferred BS in business management or a closely related field.
You may substitute 3 or more years of directly relevant experience Preferred experience of 2 - 3 years in the food and beverage industry in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, customer oriented environment Must have 2 - 4 years of supervisory or greater applicable experience Physical, Mental, and Communication Demands Requires ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
up to four times per day Requires ability to stand on feet for an extended period, up to 12 hours, and working in an environment with fluctuations in temperature Requires ability to repeatedly lift, twist and place up to 5 lbs.
blocks of ice into machines at a height of approximately 5 ft.
Requires ability to repeatedly twist and hold quart-size syrup bottles, weighing up to three (3) Lbs.
