To support this renewed effort, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vice President of Community Development to join our team in Maui, Hawai'i.

Summary:
The Vice President of Community Development will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including overseeing external relations and business segment performance of MLP's branding and trademark licensing and resort amenity businesses.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead tasks related to MLP's marketing, branding, communications, stakeholder relations and engagement functions Oversee MLP's philanthropic efforts in alignment with residents, tenants, and operators Administer all public, government, and stakeholder relations Strategic management and development of MLP's corporate identity, branding and communications for investors, community stakeholders, and potential partners Direct the strategy and execution of brand management and licensing for Kapalua, Maui Gold, and other existing and future trademarks of MLP Manage the Kapalua Club and other resort amenity business operations Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in building trust and partnerships in the Maui community.
The Vice President of Community Development will have the ability to effectively manage internal and external teams of staff, partners, consultants, and stakeholders to execute MLP's strategic plans and positively position the company.
The role is community and market-facing, playing an important role in building trust and creating the conditions for success.
Broad understanding of business, marketing, communications, government, stakeholder relations, and real estate development on Maui Experience developing and executing strategies to achieve goals 10
years of experience in strategic communications in Hawai'i (Maui experience preferred) Deep understanding of cultural and natural resources unique to Maui Education in business, law, communications, marketing or a related field Professional interaction with team members, stakeholders, government officials and staff Strong leadership, management, problem-solving, financial and analytical skills Can-do attitude, pro-active and resourceful Ability to effectively work with minimal supervision Respectful, trustworthy, and humble personality traits Strong attention to detail This job description is not meant to be an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of this job.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
